Gmail sync issues

My gmail is not syncing from MacBook to iPhone since (I believe) the most recent update. Can anyone help?

It doesn’t sync from one device to another. It synced with the server and each device syncs to the server.

Note that it has to be set up as an IMAP account on each device for sync to work. POP3 does not sync with multiple devices.
