Apple Card refund

I used my Apple Card via ApplePay. 2 days later the merchant realized I was overcharged so he wanted to refund me. He calls me and is asking my Apple Card number to process a refund. My question is what Apple Card number should i give him for the refund to be processed ? The virtual? There is no card number printed on the card.

The merchant receives the account device ID number for the card, not an actual card number. They can refund the purchase directly back using their system. If they will simply process a refund, then you can give them any card number. Otherwise, the only way to get the device ID is for them to process the refund with you present to tap the phone.
