I have a new Mac air and put my old Apple cd drive connected with a usbc adapter. The Mac recognizes a drive connected and when blank cd is inserted but Apple Music app won’t allow playlist to be burned on disk as the option is still greyed out and not black

Make sure that every song in the playlist is a local copy (i.e., not in the cloud) and is not protected (i.e., it cannot be an Apple Music subscription download).
