App opens but cannot add to home screen

fly delta app opens when I search it but cannot add icon to Home Screen. It’s like it’s already open but hidden. Checked all Home Screens and none hidden. I can add the widget not the app☹️

Try this: use App Library to search the fly delta app, see this Apple article: Organize the Home Screen and App Library on your iPhone -> Organize the Home Screen and App Library on your iPhone - Apple Support

If you have find the fly delta app, tap & hold on the app, then drag to the Home screen & drop it.
