I have checked updates within the app store and from "about this mac" and not getting any options to update to Catalina. I am still operating on High Sierra.
Google drive wants me to update but i am not able to.
Would this mean my computer is too old?
It is saying it is a late 2014 model from what I can see
Apple Menu ➜ About This Mac will tell you specifically what model / year your Mac is.
Catalina is fairly old at this point, however, a 2014 MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac or Mac mini can update to Catalina or maybe something newer than that.

You would also be able to update to macOS Big Sur with the models mentioned above.
Or even macOS Monterey if you have a 2014 Mac mini specifically. The other models cannot update to that macOS version.
Before updating though, you will need to verify all your Apps are 64 bit compatible. Catalina and later macOS versions will not run 32 bit apps.
