How do i stop this request which keeps appearing?

Apple refuses my MacBook Air password:

"Confirm your device password to keep using iCloud. This passcode also protects access to data stored in iCloud."

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 13.1

There were some issues here— I thought 13.2 resolved the bug(?)


The current stable release of Ventura including bug fixes, security updates is macOS Ventura 13.2

Follow previous Advise FIRST.


Have just added a New Apple Computer to my stable of machines.


In first 1 hour of use, received the same " Confirm your device password to keep using iCloud. This passcode also protects access to data stored in iCloud.".


It required using the Password for my Apple ID to be typed in.


Then asked for Computer Password to confirm Ownership of this device.


Successfully inputing the required information ( passwords ) and clear sailing henceforth

"Confirm device password"
