Install from timeline backup

I received my Macbook Pro back from repair with a new logic board. I am in the process of reinstalling files from the backup external drive. I chose everything to restore with the exception of Applications because I want clean installs. If I want to restore some of the applications later from the backup is that possible?

I followed the process in where it asked me to erase all files, as I had already backed them up. Migration assistant iMac - Ventura Successfully erased and reinstalled Ventura 13.3.1. Working just great! I reinstalled my files using Manual backup on icloud and external drive because somethings in my system were corrupt and Mac was very slow. Concern that the Time Machine Backups would transfer the corruption to the reinstalled system. I forgot to backup DayOne Classic - Journal. Lost all previous entries. I could migrate the applications from the latest Time Machine Backup of old system, but am afraid to do so. Is it true that only applications that are compatible with Ventura would migrate over? There were some outdated applications on the OS that I erased. Advice? Will I risk corrupting my reinstalled Ventura if I migrate all the applications from the old OS over? Thank you!

Old MacBook Air - large files not DLed to hard drive Can I use migration assistant if my old MacBook is space saving and doesn’t have all files downloaded? I tried backing it up manually to an external drive and it was taking days for just a few files (I’m a photographer so there are a lot.)

From the link that follows the user can choose to Restore Only the Application that existed on the Time Machine Backup drive at the time the Backups was made.
