Upgrade or not?

I am still using Monterey 12.6.2. I'm reading how 13.2 has issues. For security reasons, should I update and find the workaround, or can I get away with waiting until 13.2 is updated to 13.6?

Thank you.

Have found Ventura even the initial release 13.0 was ok, then 13.0.1 and then to 13.1 and 13.2 all very stable.

The Only issue I found was the System Preferences was re-named System Setting.

Things in there are not as Obvious as in previous versions of macOS.

Little time to adjust but still totally acceptable for my purposes ( General User and Not a Power User )

If the User wishes to wait for Ventura 13.6 - in the mean time you may consider updating the current Monterey from 12.6.2 to current version released Jan 13, 2023 to version 12.6.3

I did update to 12.6.3. The reason why I was asking is that reviews stated that external drives aren't visible. I read. Thanks, P.

macOS Ventura 13.2 update users report external HDD not mounting or working; USB port issues also reported
https://piunikaweb.com/2023/02/08/macos-ventura-13-2-update-bricks-external-hdd-mounting-and-usb/

...some users are facing issues connecting their external hard drives with their Macs.

Users allege that even though they can see their USB drives listed on the disk utility while running the recovery mode, they are nowhere to be found during a normal boot.

Some even claim that they are unable to use any USB-based peripherals such as a keyboard after having updated the system to macOS Ventura 13.2.

So I asked. Thanks for the 12.6.3 suggestions. I guess there are some technical workarounds, but that is way above my paygrade.

You are Welcome and Thank you too

As for USB Devices, in general, if using a HUB between the Computer and USB Devices - Yes agree there are some issues.

Though, not specific the Ventura but also on Monterey, USB HUBs tends to be a hit or miss.

The actual Chip Set contained in the USB Hub ( Self Powered or USB powered ) is often the root cause of such issues.

Technically, this is not a macOS Issue as per se but rather the usual " Apple Is Very Picky " thing.
