The only setting in Music that may help is the error correction. If you haven't already, try the classic Apple advice:

"If the “Use error correction when reading Audio CDs” checkbox isn’t selected, select it. If it’s already selected, deselect it."

Beyond that, the problem is likely outside the scope of Music, e.g., the condition of the CD, or a quirk in the drive. If it is a home-burned CD, be aware that they are often more finicky than a commercially pressed CD.

Additionally, there's been a couple of updates released the latest at the time of this posting being macOS 13.2.1. You can update and test the issue as well. If needed, the article here has steps to help update: Update macOS on Mac

Apologies, but I can't tell what you are doing there. When you say "recording," are you burning tracks from a playlist to an audio CD? Or are you ripping tracks from an already-burned audio CD into files? (Or something else?)

Either way, please note that a standard 700 MB CD-R can "nominally" hold 80 minutes of audio when burned as a audio CD. However, pushing to the limit often creates issues at the high-numbered tracks. If there is a way to limit things to around 74 minutes, you can avoid lots of problems.
