I was working with transfering my husbands photo libray to my computer. Now it looks like I have lost my photo libray and all the albums and folders I had put together. Where did it go and how do I retrieve it?

If you launch Photos while pressing the Option key you will be presented with a window allowing you to choose which photo library to open. This choice will remain until you select another library at another launch.

Be aware... if you are using iCloud sync to share photos, then you may have issues with merging of multiple libraries, as I understand it. This is addressed in the above doc.
