restore iPad

I am currently trying to restore a iPadOS15.6.1 with a MacBook Pro 13" OSX10.10.5 and it does not work. the error message is that i need to update to OS X10.11.4. or higher. What is the recommended version for my MacBook?

The model year of a MacBook Pro is available at Apple menu > About This Mac.

An Early 2008 through mid 2009 MacBook Pro can be upgraded to El Capitan 10.11.6 but no later version. See: How to download macOS - Apple Support
