I’m trying to pair an Apple Watch to my phone but i can’t unpair it from the previous owners phone using the Apple Watch app

If it has the previous owners Apple ID. In it, you can’t bypass this The previous owner must remove Activation Lock from the watch and the watch has to be erased. They must unpair the watch and remove Activation Lock by entering their Apple ID password, so you can use the watch.
