Having bought an iPhone, I got 5 gb of iCloud storage. I have now also bought a Apple MacBook Pro. Do I get another 5 gb of iCloud storage?

You get 5GB total per Apple ID/account you use, regardless of the number of devices you own (well, you can only use 10 at a time with a single ID). Upgrades are possible: Upgrade to iCloud+ - Apple Support
