Reply to Hide My Email shows my personal email accounts and not the Hide My Email

I used to Hide My Email to communicate with a vendor on their website. They replied to my email and it is in my inbox. I would like to reply back to them, but the "From" field only shows my personal email accounts and not the Hide My Email used. Additionally my reply email is populated with my email signature. How do I reply to this email without showing my personal email address?

Nothing you've suggested is helpful. In my original post I've already told you that replying to the message does not use the hide my email. There is no settings in the banner shown across the top of the message to click. I could not find hide my email settings in Mail preferences, or in settings iCloud.

Hey there ctc123,

When you receive an email while using Hide My Email, you should be able to reply using the random email address created. Check out the info below to see if that helps:

When you receive an email message sent to a unique, random address, you can do any of the following:
* Reply to the message: The unique, random address where you received the message is used by default when you reply.
* View and update your Hide My Email settings: Click Settings in the banner shown across the top of the message, or Control-click Hide My Email in the To field, then choose Go to Hide My Email Settings.

For additional details: Use Hide My Email in Mail on Mac - Apple Support

You can also enter the random email address created in the From option to reply. To locate your random addresses go to

Settings: Tap [your name] > iCloud, then tap Hide My Email. You can see and manage all your unique, random addresses.

Set up and use Hide My Email in iCloud+ on all your devices - Apple Support

Take care!

Hello ctc123,

We noticed you mentioned your Mac is running macOS Big Sur 11.7, which is a bit outdated, as macOS 11.7.4 is available. Updating software can help to clear up unexpected issues. Check out how to update macOS here: Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support

Use Software Update
Before following these steps, it's a good idea to back up your Mac.

1. From the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen, choose System Settings or System Preferences.
* If you chose System Settings, click General on the left side of the window. Then click Software Update on the right.
* If you chose System Preferences, click Software Update in the window.

2. Software Update then checks for new software.
* If Software Update finds new software, click the button to install it. The button might be named Update Now, Upgrade Now, Install Now, or Restart Now, for example. You might then be asked to enter your administrator password.
* If Software Update says that your Mac is up to date, then no new software is currently available for your Mac model. Software Update shows only software that is compatible with your Mac.

If the issue continues, then reach out to Apple Support directly, as they'll be best equipped to assist with the behavior. You can use the following link to reach out: Contact - Official Apple Support

Kind regards.
