Accepting apply pay as payment

I have used apple pay to pay for purchases. But I have someone who wants to pay me with apple pay.

do I need to set something up in apple pay to protect my account ?

how do I accept payment?

I assume that you mean Apple Cash? Send and receive money with Apple Cash - Apple Support
