Got a LeCie external (non SSD), for video mainly, but my Mac will not search it! Ive tried the 'Privacy' idea but theres an 'Unknow Error'. Any ideas please?

Hi all, just to close this one off, the latest version Ventura 13.3 solved this issue. However, you cant 'drag' the drive in the privacy box, you need to click the '+' icon and select it. Works a treat :D Cheers all!

You 'll have to wait unit the fix for the Spotlight Privacy issue is solved. In the meantime you might try the shareware app Find Any File to search for file names on the LaCie.
Oh thank you for this :D Didnt know there was an issue with Spotlight Privacy - You'd think by now Apple would know what they are doing!!! Sigh......

It just popped up with the latest Ventura update.
Typical!!! Lets hope APple sort this, Ive 4GB of film footage I cannot search! Will try your suggestion - cheers Old Toad :D
