Yes, I restarted my iPad. No, it didn’t help. Yes, I have Autofill selected. Major sites like Amazon & PayPal have stored passwords that I have deliberately made very difficult, and being unable to access those passwords in a real pain. And not acceptable for an Apple product. Lots of issues with 15.7.1

Thanks, Axel. Can you explain to me exactly what challenges I am going to have to face with an update? I am an old person, so updates are not usually my friends. If it’s just a security update, I’ll give it a go. But if my iPad is going to function like scrambled eggs, maybe not?
Hi, Axel. I had to leave town for the day, and by the time I returned the pop-up with my passwords was working just fine. Apparently, leaving town is a fix for iPads?
I do plan to do the update as you suggested as it might solve other problems as well. Just wanted to thank you for your reply and inform you of the miraculous sure I discovered quite by accident.

This means one has to either leave town or update the iPad as a cure for all issues. I would choose the update because leaving town frequently can get expensive. Good luck with the update.

The latest iOS versions have improvements over the previous version. This includes security related updates as well. Give it a go. Update it. Take the challenge.

Can you update your iPad Air 4th Generation to iPadOS 16.3.1 and see whether that resolves the issue?
