Finder Not Responding to Mouse Clicks
Why does my Finder not respond to clicks but only to keys like esc and arrows?

To get started, we want to ensure that the issue is not with your mouse. To do this, confirm if you are able to click other locations and apps on your Mac. If not, make sure your mouse has fresh batteries or is charged (if it is wireless). If it is wired, try another USB port on your computer.
Should the issue be exclusive to the Finder app, we would recommend the following steps. They will help us isolate the issue and troubleshoot toward a solution. Try them in order, testing between each:
