online banking

My bank just updated their online banking site. Now I can't get it to work for me. I can sign in and a screen comes up but nothing will work for me. No matter where I click on the screen, nothing happens. Since it is the only thing I have had trouble with it must be something to do with the new update from the bank. I have called the bank and thy can't find the problem. They are able to see my account information with no problems. I have been dealing with this the whole week. I need to get this fixed. PLEASE help with this problem.

If you are having trouble connecting to websites with your older version of Safari, you probably just need to try it with a newer third party browser that is still being updated.

I suggest you take a look at Firefox browser or Brave browser

I think I can explain what might be happening. If you are unable to access certain web sites and possibly getting a message that your browser must be updated, this is not an unusual situation. The reason is that web site providers and software engineers write their software to work based on standardized specifications. Some web sites and older browser software may not be compliant. One thing that may work is to upgrade Safari or you can use another browser that does work such as Firefox or Chrome. They can be individually updated as needed. It is important to know that Safari is installed as part of the operating system and it normally it cannot be individually updated. Safari is typically updated when the computer's operating system (OS) is updated or upgraded. Finally, even if you are able to update Safari, there is no guarantee that it will be compatible with every web site. This is why many of us have more than one browser installed. Try the Firefox browser. I have never had an issue with it.

Ask bank if they support Safari, if they reply yes it’s supported. Try using another device or another user to login to bank.

Also be real careful doing online banking! If your bank doesn’t offer physical digital tokens like RSA that has a button on it that you push, it presents info that you will append to the end of your password. This info changes every 30 secs.

I might suggest looking for another bank that does if your current one doesn’t. Bank of America, Wells Fargo and a few others do as well.

I have been using that bank for more than 15 years. I have never had that problem before. They just recently have updated their online banking. It would work on my i pad because it had an APP for that bank. They said to delete the old app and install the new one. That was fine for the i pad but Safari does not have an app on my desk computer. I have got things worked out now.
