How to delete a grayed-out mailbox in Mail?

I deleted a mailbox but now it keeps showing up grayed-out in my Favorites on the left sidebar. How can I delete it permanently when it's grayed out?

Typically you can Control click>Remove

if there is something more to the question, or what exact mailbox is this associated with...

If you spin the carrot can you not hide any sub-folder(?)

Is there some associate issue..?

If it is an Account in Mail>Settings>Accounts delete it there or disable it and compare your results.
