Connecting a different countries external keyboard to a Spanish bought MacBook Pro

Good afternoon all

I’ve purchased a MacBook Pro in Spain for my daughter studying there. It obviously has a Spanish keyboard. Her schools IT department have suggested we use an external keyboard but that ideally it should be a UK keyboard, since its a British international school. Are there any complications with connecting an external UK keyboard to our Spanish Mac? If not, how do we adjust the settings?

The only difference between any keyboard in any Romance language purchased in Europe will be on the glyphs on the key-caps.

MacOS already supports all the languages you mentioned, and many, many more. Just use add a different 'input source' to change the keyboard translation.

System preferences > Keyboard > Input Sources ...

... and add the keyboard translation desired to the list. when ready, select that as the translation.

Your Mac can not tell what glyphs are on the keys, and you can type British just fine on a built-in Spanish keyboard, except a few of the glyphs on the keys will not be correct.
