Command + Shift + 3, 4 or 5 will taker a screen shot.

Command + Shift + 5 should open the Screen Shot App, for more options.

Command + Shift + 3 takes a screen shot directly and stores it or copies it wherever the option is set to in the Screen Shot App Options menu.

Command + Shift + 4 will turn the mouse into a cross, and let you select an area to capture. Once captured it will place the screen shot according to the option selected in the Options menu of the Screen Shot App.

The screen should flash when a screen shot is taken.

What exactly happens when you use the commands above?
