Lost lengthy draft of text message when screen pooped yo another application mid-sentence. Would that draft have been automatically captured and saved somewhere?

Thank you for your reply. I was replying to a text message when it happened. I must have hit the side of the screen and the window changed. When I (immediately) went back to my text application, my pending message was gone.

Only if you were replying to someone in a existing message otherwise it isn't saved.
