Sign in delay
Why is there a serious sign in delay on iPad once you enter your Apple ID and password?
it starts the sign in process but after more than 5 minute it’s stuck on signing in and eventually says unable to connect to iMessage server.

If you are using a VPN, try turning it off and see if you can then log in.
