I need to update Word Microsoft 365

Monterey works fine with Microsoft Word, and is supported by Microsoft.

You’ll want/get/need the Office 2021 version, as part of Office 365.

Where these sequences go awry is a macOS upgrade (to Monterey or such) from some older macOS version, and where the installed Word was under-patched Office 2016, or Office 2011 or older, in the older environment.

Here? Re-download Microsoft Word from either the Apple Mac App Store, or directly from Microsoft.
