Change username in Support Communities

Something very strange happened in the interim. My username seems to have spontaneously changed on its own. (!!??). For me, this is more amusing than a big deal. Thx to you, I now have a route to manually select a new alias. So, easy for me to resolve on my own behalf. But…weird.

Have you ever heard of something like this happening?? I wonder if a backend edit was inadvertently made?

Anyhow, I thought I’d raise the Q since it could it be a less amusing surprise to another user (ie, if this was someone else’s active alias that got hijacked) lol

Edit/Clarification: ‘lukairure46’ was not my username a couple hours ago. 🙃

I don’t understand why it’s so hard to change your own username. I just noticed my username is something I haven’t used in years and I would like to have it changed. I wish someone would contact me please.

Only the Hosts can do that. I have notified them of your concern. They should contact you by email.

Yes! Same thing happened to me! And the “hijacker” couldn’t have chosen a more hideous username! Anyways, I also got it changed with the help of higher level users.
