Restore mac OS

Hello everyone,

Recently, I installed Ubuntu on my MacBook Pro 13 inch 2017 model, but now I want to go back to Mac OS. However, when I restart the laptop and hold down the option key, the option to switch back to Mac OS is not offered to me. Also, when I use another bootable USB, the system no longer recognizes it. Can someone help me figure out how to get Mac OS back? The only option is EFI Boot and when I select it, Ubuntu starts up.

Try connecting the macOS USB installer to another USB-C port especially on the other side of the laptop if available in case there is an issue with a USB-C port.

You can boot into Internet Recovery Mode using Command + Option + R to access the online macOS installer.

If you access to another compatible Qualifying Mac, then you can try creating another macOS USB installer.

Did you use the whole internal SSD for Ubuntu, or did you leave macOS on it? If you left macOS on the internal SSD, then you should be able to access it using the GRUB boot menu...may need to be quick depending on the menu time out or may need to press a special key if the Ubuntu splash screen hides the menu.
