I cannot open my MAC book because it keeps telling my it’s the wrong password. How do I reset it if I can’t get into it?

I changed my password on my Mac Book and today when I went to open up my computer it is saying my password is incorrect, yes I did write it down. I can’t get into my Mac to change it again? What do I do?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 13.3

First make sure Caps Lock is not "on". Press the Caps Lock key (once) and try your password again. The little ⇧ "shift" icon in the password field indicating the Caps Lock status might also be incorrect.

After ruling out that possibility, Reset your Mac login password - Apple Support describes the applicable steps, including what to do If you can’t reset your Mac login password, as well what to do If you forget your Apple ID or password.
