I am at present using a macbook Air (mid 2012) using macOS Catalina (10.15.7) I have backed up all my information on Time Machine.
I intend to purchase a new macbook air (M1 chip) running on macOS Ventura.
Will i have any problems transferring my backup from time machine to my new macbook.

Not if you follow these instructions: Transfer to a new Mac with Migration Assistant - Apple Support. That will transfer the Time Machine backup contents, while inheriting the older one's backup history.
