App Store updates for Catalina?

I just upgraded an iMac from High Sierra to Catalina, hoping that it could pull slightly newer updates to apps like Final Cut Pro, Numbers, and Logic Pro X, as I know there are some newer updates to those that required something a version newer that High Sierra. However, the App Store insists that all of my applications are “up to date”, but the newer versions shown on the app pages are only compatible with much newer OS versions than Catalina. Am I simply out of luck on getting app updates for Catalina?

All the apps mentioned require Monterey or later. So you can only use the versions you have installed.
