When i call someone i can’t hear them

i’ve called a friend and they answer but i can never hear anything and it’s not a problem with my airpods, volume, or speakers so what do i do ive updated my phone to the newest update too idk what else to do pls help

If you have a hearing or sound issue on your device then please try some of these processes to set it right
