Hub not recognised by iPad Pro 12.9 6th gen iOS 16.5

I have the Apple IPad Pro 6th gen with iOS 16.5 and a BYEASY 7-1 hub which is not recognised by iPad

I have plugged in via mains etc, into iPad but nothing shows that it's connected - no icon showing for connection on screen. It's a new hub and is connected to iPad with correct cabling etc., but absolutely nothing happens. Any ideas please? Thanks.

I think lotuspilot answer is not the whole story. Yes some hubs are not compatible.

however I bought an iPad Air 5th. Connected my old iPad to my Lenovo PC. Backed up. Then via usb c restored to my new iPad. Working perfectly. Visible in iTunes. Now with 17.1.1 having on verify forever it seems the same setup can’t see the iPad from iTunes. So I can’t update the iOS manually. Just reading elsewhere this same thing happened with the 15 update. Lotus pilot recommended new hubs. Seems like in 16 somewhere they reintroduced the same bug. My iPad is now almost useless. I expect this of Microsoft but not Apple. Did no one regression test anything?

latest iTunes under windows 10.

oh and the iPhone under 17.1.1 perfectly seem in iTunes and backed up. Via lightning and USBA. Backwards compatibility but not forwards. Same usb A port used on PC. Tried 2 different cables. This isn’t good.
