Can't get into on line banking via Safari

Safari can't get me into my online bank account. It has been working perfectly, same user ID, same password. This morning I couldn't get in. When I try to log in we get a transparent black screen over the log in screen. Multiple trys with no luck. Restart, etc. no luck. My other browsers do work, ie Google, Firefox. What could be happening ?

no new software, no changes to macbook pro( mid 2014), Last night it worked--- today not working. Any ideas? Thanks

JJP

Safari versions included within macOS systems only see updates so long as the macOS does.

After a time, Safari no longer updates; and without newer macOS, won't. 'Third-party'

web browsers are updated more often, and beyond several versions of macOS builds.

Check to see what macOS update/upgrade is available. Sometimes 'security patch'

may be offered in software update from Apple between major macOS upgrades, to

take Safari ahead a little longer. An Apple computer from 2015 should upgrade OS

to at least Big Sur; but none of mine are that new, so can't go beyond Catalina.
