Why is my current number not associated with iMessage/FaceTime?

FIXED !!

just tap remove number on facetime and imessage

then go to icloud to numbers add number

go back to ft and im and add the number back.

Also make sure your esim that’s associated with your carrier is on. hope this helps !

Go to Settings/Messages/Send & Receive tap on your Apple ID and sign out from your Apple ID, then go to Settings/FaceTime, tap on your Apple ID and sign out there also.

Next restart your phone→Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

Now go back to Settings/Messages and Settings/FaceTime and sign in to each.

Go to Settings/Phone. Is your number correct there? If not, you can edit it.

I just had this problem and was able to work it out after Apple and my phone carrier couldn’t do anything except telling me to wait longer.

let me know if you are still stuck and happy to share my method.

Then you have to work with your carrier to find out why it isn’t resetting. Is the old SIM card still in the phone?

no need to sign out or turn off iMessage or FaceTime. I was scared to remove the number.
