I have a Retina 5k 27 inch 2017 imac
Processor 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Intel
Core i5
Graphics Radeon Pro 575 4 GB
Memory 64 GB 2400 MHz DDR4
We had a power cut and it will now not turn on. I have tried all the options I can find online.
This has happened before and turned on after about 3 hours of trying everything.
Please help.

Are you sure that the outlet that the Mac is plugged into is hot?
Sorry what do you mean by hot? The plug socket is working as I tried a lamp in there first.
I mean electrically hot or on as you have found out.
The plug works but the iMac has died
Now that the iMac will not turn on does anyone know how to wipe the hard drive?
