Continuity Camera Chime

I see this issue has come up before for many people, but I am not clear that there was any real resolution. Of late (probably since my last iPhone or Mac upgrade), the iPhone keeps chiming that the Continuity Camera is now connected to my Mac. Before I can click "Disconnect," the message disappears. But then the chime and the message happens again after just a few minutes. This is driving me crazy as I can no longer work with the computer and phone in any kind of proximity. What do I do?

iPhone SE, iOS 16

You could turn off the Continuity Camera. Settings>General>AirPlay & Handoff>Continuity Camera>Off.
