Can't buy individual song on iTunes but it's available as a single on Apple Music???

I want to buy a song I found from an out of country artist. I noticed it's available in Apple Music but I don't subscribe. I can search the artist in the regular iTunes Store but only their older stuff is there. Having thought that I possibly was typing wrong I searched google and found links to the song/artist and expected it to bring me to it so I could buy. It did not. The new song came out in May and it, along with others from the artist, is nowhere to be found and I don't want to pay for Apple Music.

Is this a iTunes glitch? Is it likely not available for purchase in the US yet?

If it matters I'm running MacOS Monterey (12.4)
