How far can an AirTag be from a phone before tracking is lost?

It all depends on how many obstructions there might be in the signal path between the AirTag and iPhone.

With line-of-sight between the AirTag and iPhone.....maybe 25-30 feet or 8-10 meters.

Less, with any obstructions like walls, ceilings, cars, etc. in the signal path.
