Ask to buy function shows "view in store" not "review request"

Starting between 06/05/2023 and 06/07/2023, the option for "review request" turned into "view in store" when my child requested apps. There is no way for me to approve or decline app requests. I have tried turning "ask to buy" on and off, restarting both devices, rolling back a recent security update, turning off wifi (this was suggested by another user). I'm even having issues when I try to "approve in person" on her device: either the link simply won't work, it will tell me there's an error, or prompt me to log in again through settings. Nothing is working. So frustrated!! Help please!
