Run out of application memory when I shouldnt?
My macbook air keeps saying I have run out of application memory when I definitely havent, as the ram should be 8gb and these definitely dont add up to 8gb??

is not directly hardware RAM affixed to logic board of the device..
•To see a list of all current processes on your Mac according
to the resources they’re consuming, follow these steps:
- Go to Applications ➙ Utilities
- Launch Activity Monitor
- Click the Memory tab to see a list of processes, including apps and browser tabs that take up memory
- Select a process or app and click the X sign to close it
