My iPad won’t connect with another iPad through Bluetooth. They see each other but we’re told the pairing is unsuccessful but the other iPad is not supported. Why?

My iPad is a mini 5. My husbands is exactly the same but they won’t talk to each other.

We can each see the other iPad but the pairing is always unsuccessful because the other iPad is ‘not supported’.

We’ve sorted the problem. A game we play called ticket to ride can be played on a local network but wouldn’t and it kept telling us to link via Bluetooth. We’ve since sorted the problem which had nothing to do with Bluetooth as it happens. Just a reset in the privacy section of his iPad to allow the game to connect locally.

thanks for your taking the time to reply.
