Display screen turning off

Every time i move my display screen towards me, the screen goes black. The keyboard back light remains on and whatever audio was playing will continue to play. I have tried restarting, shutting down and updating it. None of which has fixed the issue.

You have a hardware issue with the Display Assembly/ display cable...


In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment

Make an appointment for a "hardware issue"

Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple


Outside the USA

Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support



A work-a-round would be to plug in an external monitor.
