Unable to Access Advanced Data Protection iCloud via Browsers

I upgraded my iCloud account to use Advanced Data Protection. It's working well when I am natively signed into iCloud through macOS, iPadOS, and iOS. However, when I want to use Drive, Notes, or any other protected service, after sending the notification to my devices and me approving it does not do anything.

The webpage is still sitting on the "Check the Notification on Your Devices" page. I have tried logging in from multiple browsers (Edge, Safari, Chrome, Firefox) on macOS and Linux and have tried approving from each of my devices.

It hasn't worked since I updated.

Is this something specific to my account? How can I resolved this since lately I've been needing this feature more and more.

Thanks!

Hello ,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

We were able to find this:

Web access to your data at iCloud.com

When you turn on Advanced Data Protection, access to your iCloud data on the web at iCloud.com is disabled to ensure that your data is available only on your trusted devices. If you turn on web access again, you can use one of your trusted devices to approve temporary access to your data on the web. Learn how to access your iCloud data on the web.

Additional details can be found here: How to turn on Advanced Data Protection for iCloud

If the issue persist, it may be best to reach out to Apple directly.

They can take a closer look and check on available options.

You can contact them by going to Get Support

Cheers!
