unable to check for update error occurred while checking for software update

There is nothing wrong with my internet connection but i'm also am getting error message when trying to update.

Update Using your Computer:

My internet connection is fine. Happening on both iPad and iPhone fwiw.

Phone shows upgrade badge (1), which is what made me check. Currently on iOS 16.5.1 (c). Power off reset does not fix.

I got the same problem. It’s not a problem with the internet service at my house. There’s clearly a bug with the latest update. My problem began after installing the latest update.

I was able to update using iTunes on my PC.
