Battery drain on new MacBook Air M2 2023

I watched a video testing battery performance on various Air machines and it did well despite all the heavy use. Mine is a brand new machine. If I charge it and take it to office, it won't last me more than a few hours, making it necessary to carry the charger along with me, which is annoying. I wonder whether the problem is with my system or a general one. Apple tried to convince me that it fine based on the diagnostics. The system says the battery is functioning normal but they cannot explain the quick drain.
