I don’t use a password on my Mac to login anymore. It goes right to the desktop screen. Until this morning. I turned it on for the first time got a login screen. I tried both my apple account password and the old login numbers. Nothing worked. How do I reset?

What are you saying here— you use automatic login(?) this is quite different then no password...
How to log in automatically to a Mac user account
You need an admin psswd for your user account to avoid issues.

What are you saying here— you use automatic login(?) this is quite different then no password...

Never mind. Fixed it it from the recovery utility. I’d like to know why this occurred, though. Any idea?
