How do I automatically back up my iPad and iPhone

To set up automatic back up for your iPhone and iPad, follow these directions:

Back up iPhone using iCloud

1. Go to Settings  > [your name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup.
2. Turn on iCloud Backup.
3. iCloud automatically backs up your iPhone daily when iPhone is connected to power, locked, and connected to Wi-Fi.

Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup. At the bottom of the screen, you should see the last time your iPhone or iPad was backed up. Please see my example below:
