Keyboard problem

After the mandatory Mac book update that I and my colleagues have had, there is a problem with the special characters on our "detached" apple keyboard and they are all in a different place. How do we solve this?

Go to settings > general > keyboard > text input > input sources > edit and make sure you have only one item on the list, and that the name of that item is US or ABC (assuming you want the standard US English keyboard). Remove anything else from the list.

Who or what organization is requiring the update? You as the owner can elect to skip any update/upgrade you want to. Not advisable, but you can.

As a "mandatory" update, is this a school or business owned device? If so you might want to talk to the administrator of your and your colleagues devices. "jjproductions" seems like a business oriented nick.
