Unable to add songs to playlist

I search for a song, click the 3 dots, click add to playlist, click on the playlist and nothing happens. I was able to do this successfully less than a week ago, I've been trying for the past few days. I've tried on two macbooks and the app on my iphone with no success. I've uninstalled the app, I've restarted the app and the phone, nothing. Yes, all my OS's are up to date. I've already called Apple Support and they were unable to assist. Is this a known issue? I didn't see any other posts about it. Help!
