Cancelled all my subscriptions, still trying to charge me

I went thru my account yesterday cancelling all unwanted subscriptions. I even went thru the ones on the cancelled list to make sure none of them said “update payment method” and that they all were cancelled. I woke up this morning to multiple attempts by the App Store to charge my card and a message saying to update my method or my phone might not function properly. Why on earth would I update my payment method if there is no transparency as to why I am being charged this amount three payments totaling almost $50. I can’t find renewal receipts I can’t find any explanation as to why I am being charged this amount. Help

iPhone 13, iOS 17

The same thing happened to me as all the other people are saying. If we’ve cancelled subscriptions and we’re still being charged, that’s an issue with Apple. We should not have to pay for bills we’ve cancelled. I’ve never had an issue like this with any other company.

What is the exact description of the charge?

The subscriptions that are cancelled on your device are only the ones that are managed by Apple. If you have any subscriptions that were started with a developer directly on their website, then those will need to be cancelled with them, as that would bypass Apple's ability to manage the subscription.

I just got a warning from my Bank account (2 hrs before renewal) saying apple were going to charge me £9.99 for renewing Apple TV. Bit of a red flag, so I check my subscriptions on my IPad which informs me I don’t have any subscriptions…… and another thing the price is actually £8.99.

What am I supposed to do here? They are trying to charge me more for a subscription I don’t want and have cancelled…..

The only option I can see is cancel directly with the Bank…..

I can only wonder how much money is made like this….

Sounds like are card has been compromised. Scammers use the name of well known companies so you did not dispute the charge. The card you card number when you use the physical card at a terminal that has a skimmer/shimmer installed. This happens more frequently then people would like to believe and gas stations are their favorite target where then can install them overnight with little interruption. The scam works like this one listed here:

If that was the case, it would explain why you cannot find a legitimate charge from Apple when viewing you Purchase History/Subscriptions and why the amount does not even match the actual subscription price. You would want to contact your bank so they can issue you a new card and dispute any fraudulent transactions.
